Yesterday, we joined Governor Pete Ricketts in Lincoln, Neb. for a tour to Bio Nebraska member companies Neogen, Virtual Incision, and Synbiotic Health.
The tour was an opportunity to highlight leading and emerging bioscience companies in Nebraska during our October celebration of Bioscience Month.
For our first stop, Neogen gave the Governor an update on their growing and innovative genomic testing company, and highlighted their cutting edge technology during a tour of their facility.
The next stop was to Virtual Incision. The Governor was able to learn about MIRA, the company’s surgical robot for minimally invasive procedures, and even had an opportunity to see how it works by using it himself.
The final stop on our bioscience tour was to Synbiotic Health, a startup working to develop scientifically and clinically tested synergistic combinations of probiotics with prebiotics improve gut health. The Governor was able to see the company’s growing operations, including new staff members, and the larger space Synbiotic Health will move into soon.
Thank you to Governor Ricketts for your ongoing support of Nebraska’s bioscience industry and for joining our #biosciencemonth celebration.
