A yearlong study has found that E30, a fuel blend containing 30 percent ethanol, can be used safely in conventional vehicles.
Yesterday, Governor Pete Ricketts announced the findings of a yearlong ethanol study. The Nebraska Ethanol Board, a member of Bio Nebraska, joined Governor Ricketts to unveil the results at the governor’s morning briefing. The study, conducted by University of Nebraska-Lincoln, also a member of Bio Nebraska, found that conventional vehicles (non flex fuel vehicles) could safely and efficiently burn E30 blends, a blend of 30 percent ethanol and 70 percent gasoline.
