Bio Nebraska announced today that Craig Mischo, Director of State & Local Government Affairs for Bayer, has joined the Bio Nebraska Board of Directors.
Craig is responsible for State Government Affairs in the upper Midwest states of Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, Nebraska, North Dakota, South Dakota, and Wisconsin. His duties include working with legislators, state officials, advocacy groups, stakeholders, and grass roots organizations on state legislation and regulatory issues that impact all of Bayer’s divisions including pharmaceuticals, consumer health, crop sciences, and radiology.
Craig has been with Bayer for 29 years, the last 19 in government relations. Prior to that, he was Division Business Manager for Bayer Pharmaceutical USA, and managed sales divisions in Minnesota, North Dakota, and South Dakota for the Primary Care Sales force. Products promoted included Cipro, Adalat CC, Avelox, Precose, Baycol, and Levitra. He won Presidents Club in 2002, and his division finished #1 in the country in Avelox quota attainment.
Craig also served as a marketing intern on the Cipro team, with emphasis on the Urology market. He is a Graduate of the HMC Council Management Development Program at Amos Tuck School at Dartmouth University. Craig began his career with Bayer in 1992 as a pharmaceutical sales rep for Miles Laboratories USA Marketing & Sales, and finished #1 in his region in Cipro IV sales in 1993, and led the entire Omaha sales division in quota attainment in 1994.
Craig received a Bachelor of Science in Economics from the University of South Dakota. Craig and his wife Michelle have 3 children and reside in Woodbury, MN.
