
The Bio Nebraska REACH Scholarship is designed to support and empower women who are nearing the completion of their undergraduate education in a bioscience-related field of study.
It provides financial assistance to students with at least a junior standing in a four-year curriculum or have more than 50 percent of credits needed for a degree in a two-year curriculum and need additional support to complete their degrees. Up to two $5,000 scholarships will be awarded for the 2025-2026 academic year to students enrolled at a Nebraska college, community college or university.
Applications must be received before 9:00am CDT April 30, 2025. Recipients will be announced in June 2025.
Eligibility Requirements
Applicants for the REACH Scholarship must:
- Applicants must be a resident of Nebraska.
- Applicants must be women enrolled in an accredited undergraduate bioscience program or a related discipline.
- Applicants must be an undergraduate student at a Bio Nebraska approved Nebraska college, community college or university and must have at least a junior standing in a four-year curriculum or have more than 50 percent of credits needed for a degree in a two-year curriculum.
- Applicant must be currently enrolled in good standing and carry a full-time course load at the time of application and during the semester for which the scholarship is granted.
- Applicant must demonstrate unmet need after all other forms of college financial aid are secured.
- Applicant must have a minimum GPA of 3.0 out of 4.0.
Application documents shall include the following:
- Completion of all fields on the application form
- Provide two letters of recommendation
- Provide college transcripts

Application Details
Application Deadline:
Applications must be received before 9:00am CDT on April 30, 2025.
Selection Process:
The Bio Nebraska Foundation Board will review each application and make final decisions.
Scholarship Funds:
Selected recipients must submit their official fall class schedule to Bio Nebraska to receive their scholarship. Funds will then be sent directly to the school bursar to cover expenses (tuition, books, room & board). Failure to provide the official class schedule by the deadline will result in forfeiture of the scholarship.
