Sasha Forsen
Assistant Director
Sasha Forsen joined Bio Nebraska as Assistant Director in 2019. In her role, she supports Bio Nebraska’s mission to promote, connect, and catalyze the bioscience industry in Nebraska, and manages Bio Nebraska’s Women in STEM initiative. Before joining Bio Nebraska, Sasha managed communication and marketing efforts for Edeniq, a cellulosic ethanol technology company. Prior to that, she was the Public Relations Manager for Omaha-based ethanol producer Green Plains, and its adjacent businesses, for seven years where she led communication and advocacy initiatives for the company. Prior to that, Sasha worked in marketing for a community hospital and health system in Nebraska.
Throughout her career, Sasha has been a committed advocate and partner for biofuels, agricultural, and bioscience initiatives in the state of Nebraska and across the Midwest. Sasha serves on the Nebraska for Lifesaving Cure’s Women in Science Committee, as well as the advisory committee for the Million Girls Moonshot initiative in Nebraska. She recently served on the board of directors for the Earth Day Omaha Coalition, a non-profit organization that is committed to showcasing sustainable and environmental causes in the Omaha community through the annual Earth Day Omaha event. Sasha graduated from Dana College with a bachelor’s degree in corporate communication.
