Misty Wehling

Co-chair of the Biotechnology Program, Southeast Community College

Misty obtained a bachelor’s degree in biology from Union College and a Master of Science degree in biological sciences from UNL. Most of Misty’s professional experience has been at Southeast Community College, at the Lincoln and now Beatrice campuses where she teaches biology and biotechnology. She led a team at SCC in developing and implementing three stackable biotechnology credentials to meet workforce needs for Nebraska’s bioscience industry sector. She is currently co-chair of the biotechnology program at SCC and enjoys the continued work to increase awareness of the broad scope of science-related careers available at all skill levels.
