As we say goodbye to 2023, Bio Nebraska takes a look back at the organizations featured throughout the past year in our monthly Member Spotlight series.
The Member Spotlight gives our member organizations an opportunity to highlight their contributions to the bioscience industry and its impact on the state of Nebraska.
Aeolian Biotech
We kicked off 2023 with Aeolian Biotech as our January Member Spotlight. We spoke to Aeolian’s President and CEO, Tyler Martin, M.D., about the company’s pneumonia vaccine and what was on the horizon for 2023.
Centese
For our February Member Spotlight, we talked to Centese, an early-stage medical device company that was founded to help patients recover from surgery faster and with fewer complications.
Baird Holm
In March, we talked to Baird Holm, an Omaha-based law firm representing nonprofit organizations, governmental entities, public and private companies, individuals, private funds and other investors, and financial institutions.
Turner Construction Company
For April’s Member Spotlight, we talked to Turner Construction Company about their Nebraska team of 300 employees who work to support Nebraska’s manufacturing, pharmaceutical, and research and development projects.
Dryland Genetics
For our May Member Spotlight, we talked to Dryland Genetics, a crop breeding company focused on ensuring a sustainable food supply for a world with less water.
Reddi Inc.
In June, we talked to Vish Reddi about his company, Reddi Inc. Reddi is a small Engineering Procurement & Construction Management (EPCM) company that focuses on design function and compliance to support the growth of Bio-Pharma companies.
CFO Systems
For our July Member Spotlight, we talked to CFO Systems. The company, headquartered in Omaha, provides “leadership on demand” to middle and lower-middle market organizations across a variety of industries with their nationwide team of CFOs, COOs, Controllers, Senior Accountants, as well as Finance, HR and Supply Chain professionals.
MOVE Venture Capital
In August, we spoke to MOVE Venture Capital, a pre-seed and seed venture capital firm created by Nebraska founders. MOVE highlighted for us their work and their mission to support and accelerate the next generation of founders in the region.
McCarthy Building Companies
For our September Member Spotlight, we spoke to McCarthy Building Companies, the oldest privately held national construction company in the U.S.
Impower Health
For our October Member Spotlight, we spoke to Impower Health, creator of the world’s first self-pacing treadmill using a motor-driven platform.
Merck Animal Health
For our November Member Spotlight, we spoke to Merck Animal Health, the recipient of the 2023 Governor’s Bioscience Award. Merck Animal Health is a global animal health company with Nebraska playing a critical role in the company’s operations.
