James Schnable, a professor in UNL’s agronomy and horticulture department and co-founder of Bio Nebraska member company Dryland Genetics, was featured in a recent Omaha World-Herald article by Julie Anderson.
The article reports that Schnable was part of an international team that published the first complete map of the corn genome and that the map will help farmers determine how plants respond to different environments and growing practices.
